The destinies of Czech children who fled to Denmark during Second World War and reunited seventy years later. 

In 2010 I found a story of a forgotten group of 80 Czech Jewish teens, who left home in autumn 1939 and survived thanks to foster families in Denmark and helpful people in Sweden. I did 5 years of research and found 30 of these survivors and their friends.

My book "Friendship in spite of Hitler" is divided into three chapters: 12 stories of survivors, detective research all around the world and interviews with the second and third generation of survivors. The book was published in Czech publishing house Mladá fronta in 2013.
